Our Leadership Team
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
As the founder of Salcido Enterprises, LLC, Malachi strategically negotiates land and power agreements to position the firm as the blockchain and cryptocurrency mining leader in the US. Salcido Enterprises currently operates one of the largest ASIC server operations in the US.
Malachi’s full service contracting business, The Salcido Connection, Inc., enjoys its status as a 16-year multi-disciplined contracting and project development firm in Central Washington state; the largest in the region. He is the founder, owner, and President of the firm, with a six-person management team in place that oversees all aspects of the day-to- day operations of this rapidly growing design-build & negotiated price 40-employee contracting firm. Specializations include heavy mechanical, facilities, major electrical, site development, utilities / telecommunications / dataspace / critical infrastructure environments, and both State & Federal specialized contracting opportunities.
Malachi’s formal training includes technical trade school, accounting, and finance degrees. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, and spent several years practicing for a large regional firm while operating his then start-up contracting business. He is also licensed as a Master Electrician in Washington State, and holds a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and Finance, from Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Washington. A frequent presenter and keynote speaker, Malachi most recently delivered the keynote address at the annual Mid-C Seminar, which explores current issues facing the West including the new market initiatives, the evolving market, and local Mid-C challenges.
Chief Financial Officer
Karen oversees Salcido Enterprises, LLC.’s finance and accounting functions, in addition to supporting the Company’s strategic initiatives. She has 25 years of progressive experience, which includes public accounting and a diversity of private and public companies, including extensive experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining our team, Karen served as both a trusted advisor and Interim CFO to company CEOs and Board of Directors, providing alignment of policies and procedures, while improving financial performance. Her experience includes the role of Corporate Controller at A Place for Mom, a privately held company with more than 600 employees and greater than $50 million in revenue, with responsibility for the accounting, finance, financial reporting, tax and treasury functions. Additionally, in the role of Asst. Corporate Controller for Cray, Inc., a public company with world-wide revenue greater than $500 million, Karen was responsible for the accounting, SEC financial reporting and compliance teams. Karen is a CPA, CGMA and also holds a BS-BA degree from St. Louis University.
Chief Operating Officer
Nick has served as a director of the Company and as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer since its formation. Over the past 15 years he has focused on commercial and residential real estate development, management, and construction. Nick relies on his formal training in industrial facilities management, and his experience managing multiple full-scope, multimillion dollar construction projects simultaneously. Design-build projects, particularly in emerging tech space with the focus on large power contracts, are his passion. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Facilities Management, from Brigham Young University, Provo Utah.
